Transportation paradigms are shifting. Declines in car ownership, changes in working patterns, greater use of micro-mobility, and a growing recognition of externalities such as air pollution and carbon emissions are challenging existing patterns. WXY is working to plan new modes of movement and integrate new infrastructure into the public realm.
Changing paradigms requires a new set of codes and policies to prepare the built environment, programs to encourage behavior change, physical design and infrastructure to support the new needs, and demographic analysis and projections to facilitate good decision-making.
