Marketing Manager



Position Overview


WXY is seeking a Marketing Manager to manage the firm’s communications, proposals, award submissions, publications, social media, and general outreach. They will be responsible for developing and tracking leads and managing the marketing and business development workflow and deadlines. The Marketing Manager is a full-time position that reports to the Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and possess strong leadership qualities to manage and execute multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Candidate shall have a minimum of 3-5 years of marketing experience within the fields of architecture and urban design. They must have excellent written & verbal communication skills and strong graphic design skills. They will be working closely with the firm’s Principals, the Director of Marketing and the Director of New Business. The Marketing Manager will be a key collaborator and contributor to the firm. This position is supported by a Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Intern.





Management of the full process of the proposal preparation, from initial briefing to delivery.


Write, edit and prepare layouts for proposal responses, marketing material and presentations in timely manner.


Update and maintain all marketing materials for proposal submission including; resumes, photography project information, firm description and boilerplate text


Write supporting proposal materials including project descriptions, resumes, cover letters, and executive summaries, etc.


Support business development via research, research oversight, and outreach to potential targets

Develop design graphics for marketing communications and collateral pieces, examples include; brochures, proposals, invitations, posters, and event materials


Maintain and enhance WXY’s outreach including website, social media, written materials, publications, award submissions speaking engagements, press releases, news items, etc.


Work with Principals and Directors on individual marketing and communications efforts.





Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years work experience in architectural, urban design or planning fields.


Undergraduate degree in liberal arts, writing, graphic design, or equivalent job experience.


Past experience in a marketing role producing proposals


Expert knowledge of desktop publishing and graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel)


Excellent writing, editorial, and graphic skills, able to craft clear and compelling project narratives based on the firm’s design


Ability to meet multiple deadlines and occasionally work additional hours when required.


Excellent attention to detail, and ability to work independently
