WXY has been comissioned by Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) to lead a community engagement process and implement updated school boundaries across the County.

The District has seen significant enrollment growth in its northern region and decline in its southern and central regions, leading to imbalances in facility utilization and inconsistent grade bands. With over 9,000 student stations in construction, PGCPS needs to develop new school boundaries to bring this new capacity on-line addressing its persistent over-utilization and under-utilization challenges. 

WXY released a Phase I report in the Spring of 2021, which set out three draft boundary scenarios and began a second phase of community engagement and boundary revisions for implementation starting in School Year 2023-24.
