This past Friday, the New York Times Editorial Board called attention to Westchester County officials' trouble fulfilling a 2009 consent decree with the federal government “to build at least 750 units of affordable housing and work to remove the barriers to fair housing.” However, the Editorial Board also cited a new court report by Principal Adam Lubinsky and Prof. William Morrish of Parsons the New School for Design as “an encouraging development” that “highlights numerous design and planning solutions, and mixed neighborhoods around the country where brittle resistance has melted away and integration’s benefits are well accepted.” Read the full report here.
