WXY is proud to announce the formal expansion of our practice into Canada. Founding Principal Claire Weisz, FAIA, Hon. FRAIC, brings a deep connection to Canada, having grown up in Edmonton, Alberta, and earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto's John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design. After 30 years of distinguished practice in New York, this milestone highlights Claire’s commitment to shaping the built environment in Canada and beyond.

Leading this new chapter from our Toronto office is our Canadian Associate Principal, Farida Abu-Bakare, OAA, FRAIC. With her expertise and vision for equitable, transformative design, Farida will spearhead WXY’s initiatives and collaborations across the region.

WXY has a legacy of collaboration alongside renowned firms like BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group, Snøhetta, Adjaye Associates, Buro Happold, heneghan peng architects, and MICA Architects.
