City Council Passes New EV Parking Legislation
City Council Passes New EV Parking Legislation

The New York City Council just passed legislation requiring 20% of new off-street parking be pre-wired for electric vehicles, potentially creating 5,000 electric vehicle-ready spots in the next 7 years. This legislation follows the recommendations of WXY’s report EV-Ready Codes for the Built Environment, which presented best practices in building code EV-readiness from Vancouver, California, and London.
